Huzzah! In exactly a weeks time, my dearest friend will be walking down the aisle. We have known each other since before time began, and together with our Ninja Warrior crew – also friends since Jesus was in the fifth grade – and some more awesome people, we will be celebrating her hens night.

For tonight I figured why not make the whole outfit colourful, hey I love brights. And I had just the items to put it together so it saved me from having to stress about buying something new. Phew. Sure I’m being a tight arse, but it’s not what you wear but who you are with, and I am looking forward to some quality time with my ladies more than anything 😀

The dress theme is ‘something blue’, so I picked a necklace and earrings, and a blue cocktail ring as my backup ‘blue’ if the first two don’t pass for the right colour –  because they’re actually green. But shhh! I don’t want to get stuck wearing a blue clown wig for not following the theme. Haha.

Righto I’m off to pack some things for our stay, I will be sure to have a beautiful photo or two to share. Until then I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Top: Powerhouse. You could almost call this top ‘vintage’. I’ve had it since 2007 and have held onto it and probably always will, I just love the bright colour. I don’t recall what it cost, but it was under $100.

Clutch: Target. I picked this up around Christmas last year, for under $30.

Ring: Mindle Beach Markets. This was a few dollars at the markets, but its the cheap and quirky  stuff that I love the best 🙂

Flats: Big W. Under $10 baby! Oh yeah. Some bright purple kicks for me and my size nine yeti feet.

Necklace: Lovisa $19.95.

Earrings: Forever New $12.99.

I love this! The colors are spectacular. I am sure you will not be wearing the blue wig. Question – Are you from Qld? I noted a few words which my Aussie nieces use. My hubbie is an Aussie. Merely wondering. Have a fun night. Look forward to the photos. BTW, you laid out everything so perfectly. Nicely done.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked it! Haha, I’m sure at some point we will all end up wearing the wig. I am actually from the NT which is right next door. Where is your hubbie from? 😀

I cant wait to get there and start snapping shots.

Love the necklace and all the bright colors! I’ve been on the hunt for a nice braided necklace, but there’s nothing great here in vancouver!
