Garnier Dark Spot Corrector Review Update

For everyone patiently waiting for week one’s update on Garnier Dark Spot Corrector here it is! Believe it or not I’m actually into the third week, but given everything going on lately I wasn’t able to update sooner. I anticipated any delays however and made sure to take photos of my skin at the time. Good Kayekie.

I originally posted the full review 6 days into using it, so I will get week 2’s update to you very shortly as well.

See the original review here: check out the full product details and gawk at my bare skin.

So what’s new?

Week 1 Diary:
Within a few days I saw my skin become brighter and clearer. I honestly hadn’t seen my skin this glowy in years! Matter of fact, I don’t recall my skin ever looking this fresh. So far I’m impressed.

As for the spots on my cheeks, I’ve noticed only a tiny improvement overall. The surrounding skin is brighter, so they are improved by default. I’m not disappointed at all, it’s only been 7 days and I’m really happy with the changes so far.

I’ve also noticed that redness left from acne scarring has reduced and contributed to looking fresher. Wow. Good skin. Where have you been all my life?

The ultimate test was seeing myself in a restaurant bathroom mirror. You know the moment where you see yourself in different lighting, and you think whoa! (good or bad reaction). Well for me it was a good ‘whoa!’. I had only applied a light tinted moisturiser before going out and wasn’t expecting the nice glowy face staring back at me. Hello there.

The down side, I did break out a little within the first few days. It was nothing serious, just a few bumps, but an expected reaction for my acne prone skin none the less. Luckily I have a great acne treatment which cleared it up in a few days. Note, there’s no way of knowing exactly which product caused the breakout, or if it was a combination effect. See my original review to see what other products I’m using.

For everyone running in terror because of the mini breakout, never fear. The breakout cleared up quick smart, and I don’t regret trying this spot corrector at all.

See week two & three updates.

Pretty impressive for one weeks usage I think. I also love you little imaginary monster on your cheek, I almost sprayed my coffe out of my mouth.

HA HA! Glad I made you laugh!

I agree, the results in 7 days is decent, considering you should always give products at least 4-6 weeks before giving a final judgement. You should see the difference between week one and two (coming soon)… 🙂

This brand has disappointed me in the past, but now I’m tempted to give it another shot. Your skin looks luminous!

I am actually the same with Garnier. I’ve tried moisturizers in the past, and they were meh. Not bad, but not wow either.

I’m currently liking the oil free BB cream (althouh I have an issue with them calling it BB, I don’t think it is), and this cream is doing great so far. 🙂

I also haven’t been impressed in the past but I LOVE their under eye circle concealer, I’ve actually directly compared it with Ellis Fass concealer and preferred it. I feel like garnier must be doing some serious work on their products at the moment.

I agree completely. Lately they seem to be bringing out some very popular cult products. 🙂

I’ve never tried their under eye concealer. I’m using one by Maybelline right now, but I still feel like my eye circles are visible.

I’ve also found their eye concealer (roller ball) great, but I don’t like the white cast it gives me in photos. Other than that, it does very well. 🙂

Wow what a difference already! Does this help texture as well? I love the Kaye’s Imaginiation monster, very funny. Your Gogeous. What makeup are you wearing in this image.

Actually you know what, it does help with texture. It lacks any real plumping I need from my moisturizer but it refines the skin in a subtle way for a nice effect. I’ve tried it on my hands and arms as a backup trial and I have noticed a difference in skin texture there.

Haha, thank you, it’s honestly what they feel like sometimes. 😀

I’m wearing Revlon Colorstay foundation, Revlon Photoready translucent powder and NARS orgasm blush I believe! 🙂

Hi there, I believe your web site may be having internet browser compatibility problems.
When I look at your site in Safari, it looks fine however,
when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping issues.

I merely wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Besides
    that, wonderful site!
