Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting FInish Lipsticks

I thought it was high-timeΒ I did a swatch and review of these popular lipsticks, they are lipworthy after-all! When they first came out, the colours flew off the shelves and it was nearly impossible to find a good shade. Actually, it still kinda is.

top #14, middle #26, bottom #16

Shade #14 was my very first purchase, and was part of the first wave of Kate Moss collection lipsticks. Shade #16 and #24 were more recent buys, and are part of the second range of colours to come out. I’ll be honest, at first I thought having numbers for colour names was brilliant! Zero confusion. But now I often find myself comparing the different shades available internationally and am unsure whether they’re all the same?

In any case, they’re all beautiful and I am a fan πŸ™‚

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick

Shade #14 (dark nude)
Finish: semi matte & opaque
Smell: marshmallow/vanilla-ish. All totally legitimate smells :p
Longevity: Generous. Lasts longer than creamier lipsticks.

This is my least wearable of the three shades, however it is a really beautiful colour! It doesn’t suit my skin tone very well, but I’ve seen it look amazing on others. For me, it looks a little vampire (bad vampire), so I wear it sparingly. The colour is strong with an opaque finish, perfect for a full on look.

The formula highlights any dry parts of your lips, so buff well before use. Color match aside, I still highly recommend it. It has a dark rose/purple hint to it, it’s a nice step away from the typical light nudes.

Shade #16 (pink)
Finish: semi matte & opaque
Smell: grapefruit/red candy-ish. Just like a lolly I won’t say the name off because it may be offensive to some, Red S…
Longevity: Generous. Lasts longer than creamier lipsticks.

Bright and cheery, with a strong opaque finish. It’s bold and beautiful and I love it! The sweet smell doesn’t go astray either. As with the other shades, the formula will highlight any dry patches, so a good clean lip beforehand is recommended. It was a little bit like Flake City when I tried, but my lips are naturally dry.

Shade #26 (light nude)
Finish: semi matte & opaque
Smell: grapefruit/red candy-ish. Just like a lolly I won’t say the name off because it may be offensive to some, Red S…
Longevity: Generous. Lasts longer than creamier lipsticks.

My favourite of the three, it’s a lightening nude colour with the power to erase your lips lol! It’s yet another shade that matches my skin tone very closely, but still a beautiful shade none the less. A light touch will give you a nice finish, and the perfect setup for bold eye makeup. And again, clean lips are a must with this formula.

Haha, thats exactly what I mean, it can be so confusing. Each country releases them at different times and often has different colours… with the world of blogging so international they should be all the same πŸ™‚

Such beautiful photos! I am very impressed with these. I have 14, the vampire shade, haha. I thinks see what you mean, I think it’s the purple tones in it. I think I might need to try some more shades, it’s such a great value and they smell great. 16 is gorgeous!
