DIY Makeup storage

Hi everyone! Have you celebrated new years yet? Are you just about to? I hope you have a blast.

Still have boxes and packaging lying around after Christmas? Don’t feel guilty for not getting on that sooner, put them to good use! My daughter and I were given very cute bath sets for Christmas, which came in the most adorable floral packaging. Rather than just throw all of it away, I saved part of the boxes to be used as makeshift dividers for all my loose bits and pieces.

I have a semi-decent organisation system going with my makeup collection, but there is still a lot of overflow. There’s things that have no real home. Makeup that’s shifted around from place to place. All cluttering up my space. These simple cardboard dividers served perfectly as a drawer organiser.

Its effective, AND it’s good for the environment. I’m off to a good start for 2013 🙂

Oh, and one final tip before I go: If you happen to find the perfect packaging, you could try unfold it to use as a template to create as many DIY storage dividers as you wanted. Simply trace the design over your own cardboard (in a super cute pattern of course), cut out, fold and voila!

Thank you! I’ve done the very same with chocolate boxes too, haha!

Have you heard of the brand MOR? They have the most amazing packaging for their soaps and products, I’ve bought so many things just to reuse their boxes when I’m done. If you like doing the chocolate box thing you’d love MOR! It’s a little pricey, but oh so cute.

      😀
