There isn’t much that can’t be worn with a beautiful bright lip colour, wouldn’t you agree? No matter what your style, rock, glam, retro, classic… a statement pout is the icing on the cake.
The Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids lipsticks have been around for a little while now, but I think they are still worthy of a look-see (is it just me, or are these product names getting longer and longer? Haha). I picked up a few of their lovely shades on my last mini-haul, and have been itching to do a review and swatch ever since. I must say, my lipstick collection is looking like a bit of a rainbow explosion. But can you have too many brights? Pfft, no way I say!

Being a drug-store brand and the relatively inexpensive price, I was hesitant about the finish of the lipstick. I was pleasantly surprised with these colours though. The finish is very pigmented and opaque. Little effort is needed for full colour, and the finish is nicely between matte and creamy. This is great because it means however you prefer your finish, light or full, its easy to achieve.
It’s difficult to describe, but of all the shades they could have chosen, Maybelline has picked a really great colour selection. I have my fair share of bright and colourful lip colours, and these provided a nice variety and great hues. There should be something to suit everyone, and most likely more than one shade you will love. Of all my bright lipsticks, these are my new favourites all-round. I honestly couldn’t say which is my favourite, they are all incredibly wearable.
The packaging is the usual Maybelline style, which unfortunately does feel a little cheep. But for what you pay you can’t really complain. The vivid coloured tube is pretty. They also have a pleasant smell, not too strong or overpowering, which is always nice.
I’d love to know your thoughts, have you tried these? What did you think?
