Move over Martha Stewart, you have some serious competition right here!

Ladies and gentlemen I’d like to introduce you to our very first gingerbread house. The whole family and I put it together and we are mighty proud of our stellar edible-abode. You’re welcome, Christmas. You’re welcome. Of all these photos, my favourite – besides the first which shows our majestic house fully finished – is the second last. It’s like, all hands on deck. Or gingerbread. It captures the craziness and fun of such a big family. I have definitely found my newest favourite tradition to add to our season.

By now I’m sure you are all in fully fledged holiday mode, preparing for whatever your big day may bring. For some of you it’s fast approaching, and to all my loved ones back at home I wish you an impending very, very Merry Christmas! I’m not sure exactly what time it is here (never really bothered to change the times on anything I own, dang), but almost everyone is asleep and I think we are fast approaching Christmas eve. One more day until Santa arrives for us! Yeah!

So for now I say goodnight, and Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas to you all.

PS – I won’t be eating the gingerbread house until Christmas is over, but I can already tell by the way it looks – it’s going to be epic. Just in-case you were wondering.

😉

I highly recommend it, the kids had such a great time. I’ve yet to see a gingerbread house kit sold in Australia but I’d be tempted to ship it in, it’s just too cute.

Haha that is one stellar abode indeed! I’ve never assembled gingerbread houses (not even going to think I can actually MAKE the gingerbread!) but after seeing so many photos of them in December, I want to try one out Christmas 2014. 😛

    Happy new year, Kaye! xx
